Set of chemicals for the wet-plate process
Titel Set of chemicals for the wet-plate process
Caption Set of chemicals for the wet-plate process, 1854. Twelve glass bottles in a portable case, for producing photographic images using the wet- plate method. A glass plate was coated with silver salts and collodion. It was then placed in the camera and exposed while still wet. This process was an improvement on the daguerreotype as it produced negative images of fine detail in a much shorter exposure time than previously., 7029490
