A photograph of a man attending to an early television receiver, taken by George Woodbine for the Daily Herald newspaper on 6 April, 1933. This set, built by H Peachey, incorporated a radio set and was described as a 'complete home entertainer.' The demonstration formed part of an exhibition at the Science Museum, London. This photograph has been selected from the Daily Herald Archive, a collection of over three million photographs. The archive holds work of international, national and local importance by both staff and agency photographers., 7019858
