Caption This small-scale melt extrusion unit was built by Dr E Dyson of Bradford University in Yorkshire for teaching and demonstration purposes. Nylon and polypropylene filament samples can be produced in a range of sizes and densities by varying extrusion temperature, pressure and stretch.
