DevOps Engineer
Full-time | m/w/d
Location: Remote (Europe, CET ±2 hours preferred)

Your Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain our AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
- Operate and continuously improve our Kubernetes platform (Amazon EKS).
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Improve system reliability, scalability, observability, and performance.
- Implement deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary releases.
- Manage infrastructure as code and automate operational tasks.
- Monitor production systems and proactively resolve incidents.
- Optimize cloud costs while maintaining high availability.
- Collaborate closely with developers to improve deployment processes and platform reliability.
- Support secure and compliant cloud operations for healthcare applications.
Your profile
Required
- Strong Linux administration skills, including shell scripting.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, SSL/TLS, VPCs, load balancing).
- Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services, especially:
- Amazon EKS
- Amazon S3
- Route 53
- CloudWatch
- Experience deploying, operating, and scaling Kubernetes workloads.
- Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Knowledge of deployment strategies such as blue/green or canary deployments.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL (MongoDB Atlas is a plus).
- Experience operating applications across multiple AWS regions.
- Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, remote-first environment.
Nice to Have
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or similar).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Experience with Karpenter for Kubernetes autoscaling.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secrets management).
- Experience working in regulated environments (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Scripting experience with Bash and Python.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Teams.
