Strengthening Dermoscopy Education and Skin Cancer Awareness in Italy

Early detection starts with knowledge. And knowledge grows when clinicians share experience, explore new techniques, and connect with their peers.

Across Italy, our FotoFinder team has recently been supporting initiatives that bring dermatologists together and raise awareness about the importance of dermoscopy and regular skin checks.

Advancing dermoscopy knowledge in Mantova

In Mantova, Prof. Renato Rossi hosted the 3rd theoretical and practical course on high-magnification dermoscopy, titled “Dermoscopy at High Magnification – Why Not?”

The course brought together dermatologists interested in exploring advanced dermoscopic imaging and the detailed visualization of skin structures. High-magnification dermoscopy is attracting increasing attention in clinical practice because it allows physicians to analyze subtle morphological features of skin lesions that are difficult to see at lower magnifications.

Events like this create an important space for discussion between experts, the exchange of clinical experience, and continued education in dermoscopy.

Dermoscopy Open Day in Naples: Bringing prevention to the community

At the same time, our team was present in Naples at Dr. Giovanni Autiero’s clinic for a special Dermoscopy Open Day dedicated to the local community. During the event, visitors had the opportunity to receive dermoscopic skin examinations and learn more about the importance of regular skin checks and early detection. Initiatives like this help bring prevention directly to people. They encourage individuals to pay attention to changes in their skin and to seek professional evaluation when needed.
