1. Marketing via the FOTOFINDER Portal

1.1. Initial Costs

The supplier will make use of the services included in the FOTOFINDER basic package. FOTOFINDER will establish a presence for the supplier in its picture search engine on the internet, including the facility to upload and download digital photographs. FOTOFINDER will open to the supplier the available facilities for displaying subject matter and preview pictures. FOTOFINDER will provide licensing and downloading of the supplier’s material.

1.3. Integration of images

Choose between two options:

• XML-Connect - We search your Internet database
• FTP upload - You send us your picture data + metadata information

1.3.1. XML Connect

If you operate an Internet-based image database with HiRes download options, we can connect you directly to our search engine. We scan your metadata and take the elements we need for the search results.

Via a pre-defined interface your database sends us your metadata in XML format at regular intervals – and we integrate it together with all the thumbnails in our own database. Any changes to image captions or deletions of images are also included in XML updates. This enables synchronisation of the data in your database with ours. XML Connect can also be run via opengate, commserver or any other standard interface.

1.3.2. FTP Upload - HiRes / LowRes

HiRes Uploads

You send us your largest image format; we store it and link it directly to the FOTOFINDER image searcher. This way you can be included in FOTOFINDER without having your own database. And your material – including backups – is safely and securely stored.

LowRes Uploads

You send us a image format in line with our LowRes (700 – 1000 pixels, broad edge). When we receive a download request, we automatically connect with your image database and select from it (on demand) the image in HiRes resolution.

Please note: FOTOFINDER GmbH generally charges customers its own fees for downloads from its portal at www.fotofinder.com. Thus image providers may only do so by express prior arrangement with us.

2. Marketing via the picturemaxx system

The convenient way for you to distribute your images over picturemaxx’s own photo marketing platform i-picturemaxx.

FOTOFINDER operates a highly successful search portal – also including with the picturemaxx search engine. Under the picturemaxx address “FOTOFINDER” the ipicturemaxx client searches for general themes. Reason enough for a host of agencies with their own picturemaxx address to offer their image database on FOTOFINDER@i-picturemaxx as well!
